Peter Becker-Heidmann is the head of the 14C Dating Laboratory of the University of Hamburg. For 30 years, he is working on organic carbon in soils using radiocarbon dating and stable isotopes. Recent activities include risk analysis studies regarding earthquakes and tsunamis in southern Spain by radiocarbon dating of paleosols. He regularly serves the geoscience and archaological communities by radiocarbon dating of different artefacts.
